Run by highly trained physios with an interest in women's health and diploma qualified Pilates teachers (under our physios guidance) with expert qualifications, our small group classes of just 5 ensure the highest level of care. Our courses are small to ensure your receive the personal attention you need to keep you safe with exercises designed for your stage of pregnancy. You'll also meet other mamas-to-be and longer classes mean plenty of time to get to know others - the perfect opportunity to start building your village before bub arrives!
If you have any pain or pre-existing conditions we recommend taking advantage of the free private assessment with one of our physiotherapists before commencing. We encourage mums to continue staying active by attending all the way up to 40 weeks (or whenever you feel comfortable).
With a focus on alignment, Pilates is a fantastic low impact exercise to increase overall strength, body awareness, improve posture and decrease aches and pains as well as increasing overall fitness. Pilates has been proven to be incredibly safe during pregnancy with the equipment helping to adjust the intensity completely to you. Our 8 Week Prenatal Reformer course focuses on:
Both strengthening and relaxation of pelvic floor muscles
Improving discomfort due to changing posture in pregnancy
Maintaining abdominal strength
Labour preparation with breathing exercises and overall strengthening
We allow 1 makeup class per course. Refunds only with a medical certificate. Prenatal Pilates courses are hosted at our beautiful Brisbane Southside clinics in Tarragindi (articulate) and Cooraparoo (Nascent Wellness)
