If you are curious about what lies beneath the surface, this workshop will help you to explore and unravel the deeper layers of the self
Yoga as a fully embodied practice extends far beyond the asana and physical movement we find ourselves refining on the mat. Whilst the physical conditioning is of course fundamental, it ultimately prepares us to develop a conscious connection, so that we can draw deeper into the subtle but potent energetics of our being
The 'subtle body' refers to those deeper layers – the elements of our being that go beyond the physical and tangible, to that which cannot be seen. This workshop is all about finding space for self-connection, inward enquiry and reflection as we journey into some of those deeper subtle body practices
We will touch on the koshas (layers/energetic sheaths) to understand the deeper dimensions of our human existence. You will led through a blissful and insightful exploration of techniques to tune-in including:
- pranayama (breath regulation)
- pratyahara (withdrawal from senses)
- dharana (considered concentration)
- all to help guide you into the state of dhyana (meditative absorption)
All levels are welcome and we encourage a curious mind and an open heart!
We'll have some hot tea to keep you warm but be sure to wear comfy clothing and pack plenty of layers.
Please bring along your own yoga mat if you have one, however please note that this workshop will not include traditional asana/physical practice.
