in Moorabbin, VIC organised by Southern Yoga and Health Centre
Each year we join a local group and help them to plant trees, it's often at Karkarook Park in Heatherton. This is feel good work, with many cultures in our community coming together to help out.
Trees are by far the most cost effective technology we have for sequestering carbon. The more trees we have, the better our chances of minimizing Climate Change and related issues like drought, famine, crop failures, storms, and floods.
Did you know that deforestation
puts more carbon into the atmosphere
than all transportation combined? (UNIFY newsletter)
Children are very welcome. A bar-b-que lunch is always provided, with vegetarians catered for. If you would like to join us please contact us direct - 03 9553 0162 or 0418 148 621 or you can book online, follow the link.
We will meet at Karkarook Park, Warrigal Road, Heatherton, at 9.00am. Best to bring your own gardening gloves.
