Charlotte began practising yoga over ten years ago in the USA, where she is from. In 2014, she decided to quit her corporate job and travel around the world by herself, eventually settling into Australia and deciding to focus on her passion for yoga. Charlotte completed Qi Yoga’s Teacher Training program in 2016. She has also completed Reiki Level 1 and is a certified Meditation Facilitator.
Charlotte has one foot in the business world and one foot in the yoga world, which ensures that her classes are useful for real people. She knows first-hand what it feels like to have big deadlines, work travel, and all the aches and pains of sitting at a desk all day. Her goal is to bring students out of their heads and into their bodies - through practises promoting self-awareness. The movement in her classes is typically slow, deep, and mindful - with a mixture of physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to best fit what each student needs each day.
To Charlotte, doing yoga is a way to settle into the person you truly are – that eternal self, where circumstance and mood are not the be-all-and-end-all, but just a fleeting moment in time. She aims to empower her students to bring their practice off the mat, taking it into the office and back home too.
