Description

Yin & Yang Yoga Workshop with Mysan
October 9

Join Mysan for a 2 hour workshop to explore fundamental principles of Yin & Yang Yoga as you explore the power of opposites.

Suitable for all levels of students, this is a class-style workshop combining the energetic and moving style of Hatha Yoga with the deliciously deep and soothing Yin Yoga.

Yin and yang describes the opposites - such as the moon and the sun - that exist in the natural world.

A Yin Yoga practice is traditionally deep and powerful yet introspective and calming. A Yin practice generally targets the deep tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine by holding poses for longer, focusing on reaching to new depths in each pose and to increase the flow of energy through your body. By contrast, a yang yoga practice is dynamic and lively, creating energy and internal heat in the body and is the perfect counter-balance to a yin practice.

This workshop will give you the best of two worlds – Yin and Yang – and provide your body, mind and heart with a powerful potion of energy and mindfulness

Come along and try it out.

The workshop will help you:

  • To deepen your practice reaching connective tissues, ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body - exploring deeper than the superficial or muscular tissues
  • To find patience and mindfulness and be one with a pose for longer holds
  • To use your breath to work deeper into poses
  • How our meridian lines work with the poses to create health from the inside out
  • Body awareness - feel in to your bones, joints and connective tissue
  • Create freedom, lightness and openness in body mind and heart

Time: 2 - 4pm

Date: Sunday October 9

Location: Qi Manly, 53 The Corso, Manly

Cost: $24
