Our Postnatal Pilates blocks are a fantastic way to get back into movement post birth! We recommend waiting until you have been given the all clear from your medical team before commencing exercise (minimum 6 weeks postpartum) and if they raise any concerns we do require a physio consultation before starting.
We encourage you to bring bub along to these classes - our studio is pram friendly, and we have a lovely reception space out the back perfect for feeding. With a maximum of 5 per class this is a great way to make new parent friends, while still making sure you get the expert attention that you need during this period.
With a focus on precision, Pilates helps to increase body awareness and strength, improve posture and range of motion as well as increasing overall fitness. In each 6 week block we'll work on:
Pelvic floor rehab
Rebuilding abdominal strength (including in cases of diastasis recti)
Improving posture and movement patterns
Increasing overall strength, fitness and endurance post-partum
All mats and props are included.
