ASHTANGA YOGA

Mysore style

A traditional style of yoga taught as a set sequence of Asanas (postures) synchronising the movement of the body with the breath. The Asanas are designed in a specific order to open, align and detoxify the body and nervous system. Developing greater physical strength, flexibility and mental clarity. Students are taught at their own pace in a small group setting and courses are suitable for all levels.

ASHTANGA Led/Beginners Courses.

Exactly as above although the group is guided together through an introduction to the Ashtanga series.

Redfern Yoga Room also has our own in house Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist  

Private classes are also available.

The Redfern Yoga Room is available for hire by any person or group who wish to use it for peaceful purposes and practices.

 

 

HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga is a traditional and orthodox style of yoga consisting of different âsanas (postures) which when linked together creates sequences of movement. Together with correct alignment, breath control and stillness of pose, yoga has the ability to slow down the fluctuations (thoughts) of the mind, bringing the body and mind into a more equanimous and balanced space,

Hatha yoga classes at the RYR are aimed at a wide range of people, from the beginner to the more advanced practitioner, from the office worker to the busy parent, corporate executive or student. All levels are welcome and no matter what your age, flexibility or circumstance, classes are adapted to your capability and with class sizes small and intimate, then there is plenty of individual attention.
