Description

This workshop is an opportunity for those that have been practicing yoga for a little or a long while to come and deepen their knowledge about the philosophy and energetic practices.

Emily Rose will guide students through the Koshas, or energetic layers of the body-mind, using this ancient 'map' to navigate the personal journey within that yoga offers. She will blend and combine this theory with philosophy from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. As with the frameworks being outlined this experiential workshop will move from the physical to a more meditative practice over the three hours.

All props will be provided and we will finish with tea and healthy snacks.

About Emily Rose

Emily has practised many styles of yoga over the past 18 years but has settled recently on a strong yet slow vinyasa style that blends building strength with a softer more meditative, philosophical side. Making a career change from international education and development, she completed yoga teacher training in Hot and Vinyasa yoga in Melbourne, graduating from the 150-hour postgraduate training with Ihana Yoga in 2016. Emily has also completed Prenatal, Postnatal and Restorative yoga teacher training with Bliss Baby Yoga and Yin Yoga and Mindfulness training with Sarah Powers. She has been teaching for 4 years, now lives in Bright, Victoria, and is registered with Yoga Australia (Level 1) and Yoga Alliance Australia® (350 Hour RYT).

Emily loves whole foods, nature, adventure activities, mountains, the philosophy & practices of Yoga, Taoism and Buddhism, taking action on injustice, teaching, and above all connecting people in love and kindness through yoga workshops and retreats.
