Reflections from a student ...... on her private yoga sessions.

“I was a complete beginner when I started my private sessions with Vim, but by regularly practicing I have found yoga helps me feel better about myself both physically and mentally. I now think about the physical space I inhabit in my daily life. I feel a sense of achievement at my progress and bring much of what I learn in the studio to other parts of my life. It physically challenges me but I now know I can improve and feel myself make progress, which is a good feeling.  

It has helped me focus on the here and now and allowed me to realise I can enjoy the very simple things in life that I over looked for many years. I feel better about myself physically and when I have tough things to think about I now know I can work towards achieving them by taking steps rather than seeing them as too hard. I am a much calmer person than I was 12 months ago and I think this is reflected in my relationships with friends and family.   

I was told finding the right yoga teacher is the most important step to take when starting yoga and I feel so lucky that a Google search led me to Vim. From my first session she was encouraging and her experience as a teacher was inspiring. She knows how to help me make progress and at times when I have been very stressed she has helped me focus and leave her studio feeling calmer. She knows how to challenge me but in a way that makes me feel I am making progress. She makes yoga feel a part of my life rather than something I just do once or twice a week.”
